The primary goal of the policy is to assist in providing a safe and healthy environment for Macarthur Gas employees, contractors and visitors ensuring adherence to the WHS Act2011 and WHS Regulation 2011.

 

The objectives are to:

  • Provide a safe and healthy work place for all our people and our contractors as per WHS Act 2011 and other relevant WHS legislation.
  • Make Health, Safety and Environment (WHS&E) a part of all business decisions.
  • Assess and minimise HS&E risks, prior to commencing all activities, projects and acquisitions.
  • Apply standards, which meet relevant legislation, regulations and community expectations.
  • Strive to operate in a manner, which poses no health safety and environmental risk to our customers or to the public.
  • Improve continuously, our WHS&E performance by regular monitoring and review by establishing goals at all levels with the Company.
  • Use resources efficiently and minimise waste and emissions.
  • Lead, train and motivate our people and our contractors to work in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Communicate openly with our people, customers and the community on HS&E matters.
  • Provide information and advice on the safe and responsible use of our products.

Quality Management System Policy

 

Macarthur Gas Pty Ltd recognises that to maintain customer satisfaction, we must fulfil our obligations in accordance with the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulation 2011. We will also conform to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management Systems, CPSC Management Systems Guidelines 3rd Edition, ISO 14001, the NSW Protection of the Environment Operations Act, 1997, and Client (PCBU) Specifications as agreed to in entering each contract.

 

Our Quality Management Policy & Plan applies to the provision of all materials and services together with the labour, supervision, management, plant and equipment, consumable, tools and all other items that are necessary to execute the required works.

All Macarthur Gas activities will be carried out as to protect the health and safety of employees (Workers), contractors (PCBU/Workers), customers and the community while paying proper regards to the protection of the environment including the prevention of pollution.

 

Macarthur Gas is committed to conduct its operations in a manner that is environmentally responsible and sustainable.

 

The primary goal of the policy and associated procedures is to assist in maintaining the highest environmental standards.

 

The objectives of the policy are to:

 

  • Work pro-actively with all levels of government, regulatory agencies, our clients and other community stakeholders to enable environmental issues to be addressed at an early stage of operations.
  • Ensure that we inform, listen to and respond to the reasonable needs of local communities affected by our works
  • Undertake activities in a manner that is consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development
  • Prevent pollution and minimize other adverse impacts of our activities on the natural, built and cultural environment
  • Reduce waste through minimisation strategies
  • Promote environmental awareness amongst all Mac Gas employees (Workers) & subcontractors (PCBU/Workers)
  • Continually improve our environmental performance by periodically reviewing and evaluating our Environmental Policy and management systems
  • Encourage all our employees (Workers) and subcontractors (PCBU/Workers) to take personal responsibilities for environmental issues to create within themselves a feeling of ownership for the natural environment
